An Apple A Day

I have been going in circles for the last month — the joys of OCD and life-changes 🙂

I hope to have my thought processes under control very shortly (I’m an optimist — with OCD, but an optimist nonetheless).  I haven’t been diligent to blog or paint.  The last week, though, I’ve finished two pieces that I’m proud of.  The first one was designed by my teacher/mentor, Paul Seymour in the Peter Ompir style.  There is a funny story about this piece… I was painting away until my painting buddy noticed a particular bulge in my doctor’s anatomy — don’t ask why or what I was thinking!!  We howled about it all night but I ultimately decided to keep it in… Ompir always liked the wacky, didn’t he?!?!

The second piece is another class piece, designed by Lynn Snyder.  Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I finished it before Monday’s class.  Danny O. and I are going to hear Amanda sing with “house of echO” tomorrow in Washington DC and I didn’t know how much I would have left for class on Monday.  I had the face and small details to finish and one CANNOT paint small details with a shaky hand!!

Now I have to be brave enough to finish MY design…  my goal for this week.  The piece is titled “I Sing.”  I can’t wait for you all to see it!
